All About Karen...

Though the majority of Karen's work experiences revolve around television broadcasting and journalism, she has many other interests and hobbies.

A dynamic public speaker, she has emceed events ranging from black tie affairs to rallies against violence.

She's currently writing a book about her experiences during Hurricane Katrina, due to be finished next year, in addition to freelance short story writing.

Karen also enjoys oil painting, sketching, and in a past life, ceramics.

Travel has always been a part of her life, having visited 24 other countries and experiencing the lifestyles of a world vastly different from her's. She believes travel is one of the key elements to learning and understanding other cultures and to appreciate all we have here in the United States.

She makes donations to several causes and volunteers her time when she's needed. Her favorite animal is the English Bulldog.
